This is a super easy to make protein bar that totally tastes like it should be less healthy!! Can’t go wrong with chocolate and peanut butter!!
Macros per bar: Calories: 145.6, Carbohydrates 9.2g, Sugar 2.1g, Fibre 3.6g, Protein 11.6g, Fat 7.3g (Macros based on organic whey isolate protein powder. Values will vary depending on the protein powder used.)
Serving size: 3
25g Chocolate or Vanilla Whey Protein Powder
20g Coconut Flour
35g Crunchy Peanut Butter
10g Raw Cacao
30ml Almond Milk (1/8 cup)
- Combine all ingredients together into a food processor and blend until they are all well mixed.
- If the mixture is a little dry add a few drops of water or almond milk but make sure it’s just a small amount. The mixtures usually get sticky quickly and only a really small amount of extra almond milk is needed. If the mixture is a bit sticky however just add a little bit more protein powder, coconut flour or another dry ingredient.
- Shape the mixture into bars or balls and either put into the fridge or coat with coconut or chocolate. If you want to make your own chocolate I use four teaspoons of coconut oil, six teaspoons of raw cacao and two teaspoons of agave or honey. I just add them all to a small saucepan and heat on the stove until they are all melted or you can melt your favorite dark chocolate.
- Then use the chooclate to dip your homemade protein bars or balls in.
