“Resolutions have never really been my thing. To be honest, I’ve resisted committing to year-long goals out of fear of never actually being able to obtain them. But back in December, with the anticipation of 2016 arriving and my yoga practice deeper than it’s ever been, I was curious about how to integrate intention into the coming year. When I came upon Sarah and Karen’s 30-Day Clean Living Challenge in January, I was intrigued by the program content, but more so by their expertise, experience and coaching philosophies.

At present, I couldn’t be more thankful that my curiosity led me to (actually) making the commitment to the program (although I hesitate to call it that because it’s so much more than a program). A program is assumed to have a beginning and an end. The work that Karen and Sarah do is not contrived in such a limited way. Through their teaching, support, and knowledge they lead and guide you through the process of connecting to yourself—mind, body, spirit and soul—and as we know, this is not simply a process that begins and ends. Instead, they teach you how to practice becoming your best self; the fabric that weaves all of these pieces together and that—that is infinite. The Clean Living Challenge bridged a gap, that for so long, I’ve struggled to do on my own. It helped deepen my understanding of health and how the choices I make on a daily basis can contribute to or deplete my wellness. Moreover, Karen and Sarah’s teachings are honest, encouraging, thoughtful and most importantly, sustainable. I’m better for having participated. And it’s not to say that personal challenges have magically disappeared, but I certainly have a much better sense of what leads me to each crossroad and how to treat myself with kindness, patience, gratitude, and empathy as I navigate the waters that allow me to live a life of balance, joy and fulfillment.”

Sarah & Karen’s one-on-one attention during this program helped me get to the root of my problem with my all-or-nothing perspective. I’ve always been a very healthy eater, very active, but the restrictions I was placing on myself led to binge eating and drinking on the weekend. The personal attention they were able to give me during the challenge helped me address this very personal and emotional issue to help me finally see a way out of the cycle. It has been, honestly, a life changing experience.

I started a daily meditation practice and a food/mood journaling practice that has made an enormous difference in my every-day life. My husband even commented, “Something looks different about you. You just look healthy or happy or something,” This was on a MONDAY. But it was after I changed my approach and my attitude to focus on positive self talk after a weekend of indulging. Usually on Mondays I am frowning and regretting my weekend… from now on, Mondays are as good as any other day. It’s all about my outlook!
