Naked Whey Review

Naked Whey Review

Naked Whey review. When I first checked out this protein powder I was totally shocked and I think you will be too. The Naked Whey ingredients list consists of only one item! Soo exciting!

Although I’m a massive fan of eating whole foods, protein powders are great for a healthy snack to keep you full for longer or an essential ingredient in your next homemade protein bar! Check out this super easy recipe HERE.

But, it can sometimes be super hard find a protein powder which isn’t full of nasty ingredients? A protein powder that you don’t have to worry about what it is doing to your body? And I get asked for recommendations on what are some great protein powders to use so I thought I would do some reviews on ones I have tried to help you figure out which might be the best brand for you to try!

Because, not all protein powders are not created equally you know. Some contain artificial chemicals and excess sugars and there are some products on the market, which are actually full of good ingredients. One of the better ones I have come across is:

Naked Whey protein powder.

Naked Whey Review – What Is Naked Whey Protein Powder?

Naked Whey Review
If you are looking for an all-natural whey protein powder which is 100% grass fed, then you have come to the right place. Our full Naked Whey review.

Naked Whey protein powder has ZERO additives which means no artificial sweeteners, colors, flavors, hormone free, soy free, GMO free, and gluten free. Woohoo! (This can be hard to find).

So by now you may be thinking, what actually are the Naked Whey ingredients? The simple answer is whey protein sourced from small grass fed dairy farms in California. That’s it! It’s 100% whey protein powder. I feel like I need to say it again, the Naked Whey ingredients list – only one item. Whey protein. As I said, you basically never see this anymore unfortunately so this is a goodie!

Naked Whey Protein Powder Features

Here are some of the great ‘feature’ of Naked Whey protein powders.

  • 100% sourced from grass fed cows’ milk from Californian small dairy farms.
  • One ingredient ONLY – Whey Protein.
  • No added flavors, colors or artificial sweeteners.
  • 25 grams of protein per serving.
  • GMO Free.
  • Growth Hormone Free.
  • Soy Free and Gluten Free.
  • Cold Processed.
  • Acid and Bleach-Free Processing.

Naked Whey Protein Powder Sizes

Naked Whey protein powder comes in three sizes.

  • Sample size.
  • Sampler pack.
  • 5lbs pack.

I really love that it comes in these two options. How often have you wanted to try out a protein powder but it only comes in these huge tubs that if you don’t like it, get stuck with, cluttering your pantry.

You never really know if you are going to like a protein powder until you try it, so you can start with the sample pack. If you like it (you probably will), you can get the larger 5lbs package (which is better value for money). And if you don’t like it, you can try another brand without wasting money and pantry space!

Naked Whey Protein Powder Options

But Naked Whey is not the only option that this company sells. They also sell Naked…

  1. Whey.
  2. Casein.
  3. Pea.
  4. Rice.
  5. Goat.

They really have something for everyone. Love this! Whey protein powder is not vegan friendly and although I really like Whey, everyone is different and for some people whey can upset their stomach. So having a rice and pea option (vegan friendly) is really great! Not sure of the difference between these protein powder types? Check out my protein powder basics article HERE.

Naked Whey Protein Powder Shortfalls

During our time testing Naked Whey protein powder and writing a Naked Whey review, there wasn’t much that I didn’t like about it. As long as you mix it into a smoothie or shake with some fruit or a little honey and a naturally flavored almond milk. Because the natural flavor is a little bland. It mixes really well though. So there are a couple of other things that you should keep in mind when making your decision. They are.

  • This one can be a little hard to mix evenly with just a shaker bottle. For best results, try using a blender and mix it with a handful of berries and some almond milk or some raw cacao for a chocolaty smoothie! Yummo!
  • Pretty tasteless (good for some and not for others) – actually this can be good for some protein bar recipes too! Its really good to use in a range of my recipes!

What Naked Whey Protein Powder Does Really Well

On the other hand, there is lots to like about Naked Whey. This is totally one of the best options available today for whey protein powder. Here’s what I liked.

  • Naked Whey ingredients. Well, it only has one! Grass fed whey protein. (woohoo!!) Unlike some protein powders available which have closer to 20 ingredients!
  • Non GMO (sooooo important – always check for this).
  • Comes in a bulk size.
  • Comes in a sampler pack.
  • Small samples also available.
  • Doesn’t have much taste so you add in your flavors or fruits etc – great for protein bar making.
